Aisha is a life-long resident of Guelph. She has worked as a registered nurse for nearly 25 years, at Guelph General Hospital (Labour and Delivery), at Homewood Health Centre, and now as a Mental Health nurse at the Hamilton-Wentworth detention centre. Aisha has been on the front lines of our healthcare system throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Aisha has been a leader in the labour movement, as a local coordinator.
Aisha understands that too many people are unable to access the healthcare services they need. She is a passionate advocate for improving our public medicare system, which has been eroded by years of underfunding. Aisha believes that your Health Card should cover pharmacare, basic dentistry, mental health care, and quality long-term care. As your MP, she will be dedicated to making the changes we need.
